in 1909 as a wine warehouse by
Basque architect Ricardo Bastida, Alhondiga Bilbao re-opened
as a "Cultutre + Leisure Center! in 2010, planned and designed
by the French architect
and designer Philippe
Starck
and Thibaut
Mathieu.
Artistic
pecularity: 43
columns in the ground floor, made of marble, brick, steel, terracotta,
bronze, aluminum, wood and cement offer a tour through the history
of styles.
